Historic Hajj Flight: Air Peace Soars from Owerri to Medina with 315 Pilgrims
Yesterday, history took flight in Owerri as Air Peace operated the first-ever international flight from Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, airlifting 315 Hajj pilgrims to Medina aboard a Boeing 777, the largest aircraft to ever land there.
The landmark event was flagged off by Nigeria’s Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, alongside Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, the Sultan of Sokoto, and other national dignitaries underscoring a moment of unity, progress, and aviation excellence for the South-East and beyond.
